The modular design and standard on-board interfaces of the Ventura ASi range of industrial PCs support flexible solutions providing for future developments in the industry. Fanless operation and the CF cards used as mass storage media ensure advanced flexibility, speed and safety. The mechanical and electrical design of the basic Ventura model provides reliable control and actuation of machines under tough everyday conditions of the industry and warrants that all data is safe even in the event of power failures. The industrial PC is shock-proof and vibration-proof, features low-voltage protection and EMC compliance plus compatibility with temperatures up to 50 °Celsius. Standard ports to CANopen, DVI, Ethernet, COM and USB let Ventura satisfy all communication needs. Two compact flash drives allow application and machine data to be separated from the operating system. CoDeSys, the IEC61131 programming tool with integrated bus configurators and target visualisation for CANopen, PROFIBUS and AS-Interface networks, turns Ventura into a PC-based controller. Ventura AS-i 300, Ventura AS-i 700 Can and Ventura AS-i 1000 are sold with real-time operating systems Microsoft® Windows® CE or Windows® XP embedded on board.
